Free Feral Kitten Socialization Workshop

On March 2, 2013, MCAS's Apartment Cat Team (ACT) will be hosting a Feral Kitten Socialization Workshop, taught by Mike Phillips and Valerie Sicignano of NYC Feral Cat Initiative and sponsored by Petco Foundation. This free workshop is open to the public!

The goal is to get homeless, feral kittens off the streets and teach people how to rehabilitate them so that they can be adopted into loving homes. Participants will learn how to safely handle feral kittens and how to work with them to make them friendlier and more tolerant of people. Workshop participants may choose to socialize kittens in their own neighborhoods or become part of a network of kitten fosters for MCAS or other local rescue organizations. Shelters have a huge need for kitten fosters each year during “kitten season”.

MCAS’s primary goal is to save more animal lives. We invite the community to help us reach that goal. We hope to see you at the workshop!
