Attend the upcoming Multnomah County Animal Services Community Advisory Committee meeting on July 10 to provide feedback about our work for pets and people.

The purpose of the Multnomah County Animal Services Community Advisory Committee (MCAS-CAC) is to thoughtfully advise and provide input to staff regarding division policies, operations, budget, and community relations.  The CAC consists of 9-12 members appointed by MCAS.  Advisory committee membership is open to all citizens of Multnomah County, and the CAC strives to have a diverse representation in its membership to welcome perspectives of all community members regardless of pet ownership or any other status.

About the Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

The MCAS-CAC advises the Department of Community Services, Animal Services Division.  All meetings are held in accordance with the Oregon Open Meetings Law.  Regular and special meetings are open to the public.

Topics the Advisory Committee may be called upon to provide comment and input may include the following:

  1. The delivery of services and the community's expectations for a fully accountable government.  
  2. Potential changes and improvements to make the current program more user-fee supported.
  3. Budgetary priorities.
  4. Marketing, advertising and public education materials and campaigns.
  5. Best practices that support the mission of MCAS.
