National Cat Day Adoption Special

In celebration of National Cat Day, adoption fees are reduced fifty-percent (50%) for all cats seven months or older from Friday, October 25, through Tuesday, October 29. License fees apply for Multnomah County Residents. Spread the word, celebrate with us, and help adoptable cats find new homes.

About National Cat Day

National Cat Day, held on October 29, was first celebrated in 2005 "to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their life for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us." The day is founded by Pet and Family Lifestyle Expert, Colleen Paige, supported by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
