Found as a stray near Johnson Creek Boulevard and 82nd Street in SE Portland, Angel the senior cat was hungry, lost, and covered with fleas.  A good samaritan brought the senior cat to Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) on May 28 in hopes that her owner would be found.

Trapped in the garage of an unoccupied home, Domino the cat was saved by vigilant neighbors listening for his cries, Multnomah County Animal Services Officer Cherry, and caring owners Tyrone and René.

The "Pitties in Pink" Float did it again in the Portland Rose Festival's 2017 Starlight Parade, winning first place in the non-commercial division.  "Pitties in Pink" is the response of Multnomah County Animal Services to the many pit bulls up for adoption at the shelter.

Doris knew her dog, Paloma, was in distress and needed help, but she didn’t have a ride or money to take the dog to the vet.  Doris called Multnomah County Animal Services, and Officer Cherry brought Doris and Paloma to DoveLewis Animal Hospital for treatment.

Police shot a dog that was attacking children at a bus stop in SE Portland. Multnomah County Animal Services rushed the dog to DoveLewis Animal Hospital, and went into overdrive to search for its owner.

MCAS officer Andy Loehr rescued a brood of ducklings trapped in a pipe, and performed CPR to save an unresponsive duckling.
