Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is seeking public comment on proposed rulemaking clarifying Animal Rescue Entity physical and foster locations, and establishing a tiered license fee structure.
ODA requests public comment on whether other options should be considered for achieving the rule's substantive goals while reducing negative economic impact of the rule on business.
Definition updates will clarify the difference between a foster facility and physical location controlled by an Animal Rescue Entity. The license fee update will establish a tiered license fee structure based on Entity type, number of physical locations, and the number of animals taken into the ARE's legal custody.
