Multnomah County Animal Services is the primary shelter for found animals within the Multnomah County jurisdiction. This means that we receive many young and sick animals in need of extra care. A critical component of organizational success and capacity planning is to place pets into volunteer Foster Caretakers homes, while also ensuring that Foster Caretakers are maintaining expectations of the organization. The Foster Care Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of animals in foster care and facilitating the onboard and success of MCAS foster families.
