About me

Nina is a quirky, beautiful cat who has been through some hard times and is looking for a home to call her own. Nina doesn't like other cats too much, but she does like humans once she gets to know them. She is playful and affectionate. Nina enjoys playing with feather-on-a-string wand toys, chasing the laser pointer around a darkened room, and watching "cat tv" while batting and chirping at the birds and other animals that come across the screen. Nina also knows how to relax and appreciates sitting at the window meowing at the mailman and the crows, laying in sun puddles, and hunkering down in fleecy blanket forts. Once she is adjusted to her new environment and the people in it, Nina turns into an evening lap cat, keeping the humans in her foster home company on the couch and making biscuits. Nina also sometimes comes when called, especially when you rattle the treat bag, or when you're going to sleep in a different room at night. Nina does have some handling sensitivities, so she'll need an adopter that is willing to respect her boundaries; they're easy to learn and she does enjoy being pet in certain ways and places, and allows nail trims. Nina would definitely thrive in a home without young children or other cats. Dogs are an unknown.
