A small black female cat showed up on our back patio in early November; she slept in dry areas during the day and would stay overnight; after a few weeks, she started trying to come inside. In December we took her to a vet to scan for a chip - no chip was found. On Dec. 5 we put a collar on her with our phone number and the message "Is this your cat? Please call or text"; no one called or texted us to alert her that she was their cat. I posted found cat messages on the local FB groups; there were no responses. We brought her in on December 9.
